Earning an ABWM certification will allow recipients to enhance wound care for patients and improve collaboration with wound care colleagues in other disciplines. These certifications may also allow recipients to obtain promotions, pay raises, greater job opportunities, and personal pride.

Who is Eligible?

• CWCA®: LPNs, LVNs, PTAs, all certified healthcare assistants (CNAs, CMAs), healthcare administrators, dietitians, sales and marketing professionals, and academic researchers with a minimum of three years of wound care experience.
• CWS®: DOs, DPMs, MDs, NPs, DVMs, PAs, PTs, OTs, PharmDs, RDs, or RNs with three or more years of clinical wound care experience.
• CWSP®: MDs, DOs, and DPMs with three or more years of clinical wound care experience.
• Candidate Program: The Candidate program is a pathway to each of the three certifications listed above (CWCA®, CWS®, CWSP®), designed for those with 0-2 years of wound care experience.
