Congratulations!

Next Steps After Certification

Congratulations on passing your exam! Whether that be for the first time or your recertification, you have joined an elite group of healthcare professionals recognized for their knowledge and expertise in the field of wound care.

Welcome Documents

If you recently passed your exam, your welcome documents should already have been sent to the email on file, so please verify that you have received them. If not, please send us an email at info@abwmcertified.org to request this packet. This is important as the welcome letter includes crucial information about your certification and its maintenance. We have also included an advocacy letter and a press release in those documents.

Online Account

You can login to your account using the login you created for the online application. Your digital certificate can be found under the digital wallet tab along with additional documents such as receipts.

Additional Certificates & Framing Services

Additional certificates can be ordered at a cost of $25 each for orders within the US, this includes shipping and handling. If interested, please send us an email at info@abwmcertified.org and we can provide you with the online order form.

The ABWM has partnered with Framing Success to provide custom ABWM frames with our embossed logo. Orders can be placed directly with Framing Success for delivery to you.  You will be able to see previews of the frames and place orders via our custom ABWM merchant page.

How do I get involved with ABWM beyond certification?

The ABWM has several opportunities to get involved beyond just obtaining certification and we are always looking for folks who would like to be more involved in advancing our mission. Big or small, all these activities play a crucial role in contributing to the success of our organization. If you are interested in any of the below opportunities or simply have some questions before deciding, please reach via email at info@abwmcertified.org. Please note these are all volunteer based opportunities.

Opportunities included:

Board of Directors – The Board of Directors is the elected leadership of the ABWM. The function of the Board is to facilitate the advancement and day-to-day policy and procedures of the ABWM and the Certification Examinations.

Exam Committee – The Exam Committee is responsible for the administration of the board certification examination. The Committee coordinates with ABWM Staff, ABWM’s testing organization, and Committee members on a variety of Committee functions. The Committee is comprised of CWCAs®, CWSs®, and CWSPs® from all disciplines to provide fair representation for all levels of certification. The Committee usually meets twice per year to review the examination and to review new items (questions) for the exam.

ABWM Ambassadors – The ABWM Ambassador Program was created to help promote ABWM’s mission. Our Ambassadors help us to further ABWM’s brand awareness and to educate the community of wound care professionals in their local regions.
